Report on the money raised and distributed by ‘Secure living’ 

Introduction

The aim of this report is to present accountability for the ways in which the funds were collected by organization ‘Secure living’ and how they were further distributed. The findings are found on the data collected by me as member of the organization

Ways in which the sums were collected

Money was raised in two ways. First, our team sent emails to the public with a powerful message about social issues and a plea for contribution.  Second, by our joined efforts we created video content, thereby actively promoting our cause on social media. But what particularly initiated contributions was the online platform that we created to track contributions in real time, displaying the initials of donors. This ensured transparency and enhanced confidence that the money allocated would land in the right hands. As a result, around 10.000 US dollars has been collected during the period of 10 months, which is proportionately greater than the proceeds of the previous years.

Beneficiaries of the funds

The proceeds were allocated to two charity organizations—one that deals with the issue of homelessness, the other that supports victims of family abuse. The contributions yielded a measurable outcome in terms of providing temporary abode for the homeless, providing them with sanitary aids , psychological consultation for the victims of domestic violence, and providing 10 children of domestic abusle with foster care, to name but a few.

Reasons for our choice of the two charities

The rationale for choosing the above mentioned organizations and causes based on the official findings that the rate of homelessness and domestic abuse has doubled in the past five years. Oftentimes, those who live in the streets and who are abused in families are individuals aged 10 to 40. We believe that those children should be provided with care and proper education while adults have the potential to find employment to contribute to society. With that in mind, we hope the aids they receive will be instrumental for a productive future.
